MOU between Assam Don Bosco University and Don Bosco College of Engineering

Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), Azara, Guwahati, Assam, a reputed private university known for its commitment to academic excellence, research, and value-based education, on 11th March 2026.
The MoU was signed by Rev. Fr. Wilfred Fernandes (Director, DBCE) and Fr. (Dr.) Jose Palely (Vice Chancellor, ADBU) in the presence of Dr. Neena Panandikar (Principal, DBCE) and Prof. Manoranjan Kalita (Principal, School of Technology, ADBU). The MoU will be executed by Dr. D. S. Vidhya (HoD, ETC/ECS), DBCE, and Dr. Mriganka Jio (HoD, ECE), ADBU.
The purpose of this partnership is to establish a strong foundation for academic cooperation and the exchange of knowledge. The collaboration aims to promote research activities, faculty and student exchange, skill development, and cultural connect among faculty members and students of both institutions.

As part of this collaboration, Don Bosco College of Engineering and Assam Don Bosco University will explore the following avenues for cooperation:
i. Academic Collaboration
- Joint development of academic programs, short-term courses, and certification programmes.
- Exchange of faculty members and researchers for lectures, research guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Sharing of resources such as library and laboratory facilities.
- Joint student projects in mutually agreed research areas.
ii. Research and Development
- Undertaking joint research projects in areas of mutual interest.
- Sharing research facilities and infrastructure.
- Organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Joint publications on mutually agreed research topics.
- Promoting multidisciplinary research and development activities.
iii. Student Exchange and Internships
- Student exchange programmes to facilitate academic learning and exposure.
- Opportunities for internships, industry visits, and collaborative projects.
iv. Skill Development and Training
- Conducting joint training programmes, faculty development programmes, and capacity-building initiatives.
- Enhancing the technical and professional skills of students and faculty through workshops and certification programmes.
This MoU establishes a platform for long-term collaboration, promoting joint research projects, faculty exchange, joint conferences, training programmes, and skill-development initiatives. The agreement will remain valid for a period of five (5) years from the date of signing.
