TEKFEST 2.0

TekFest 2.0, a collaborative technical festival organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering (MESH) and the Department of Electronics and Computer Science (ENCinC), was held at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda on 8th and 9th April 2026. The event provided a vibrant platform for aspiring engineers to showcase their technical skills, creativity, and innovative ideas.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Ms. Joy Afonso, Head of Human Resources at IFB Industries, Goa. Rev. Fr. Ralin De Souza, Rector of Don Bosco Fatorda; Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal; Dr. Suraj Marathe, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department; Dr. Vidya D. S., Head of the Electronics and Computer Science Department; faculty coordinators Prof. Kimberly Morais, Prof. Anisha Cotta, Prof. Sanjeel Naik, and Mr. Mazen Leitão, Chairman, MESH; along with Mr. Preston D’Silva, Chairman of ENCinC, were also present on the occasion.
Ms. Afonso described the event as a celebration of creativity and technological talent. She highlighted the increasing need to bridge academic learning with real-world industry practices, particularly in the manufacturing and electronics sectors. She also encouraged students to develop both strong technical competencies and essential professional soft skills, while continuously striving for growth and lifelong learning. Fr. Ralin emphasized the importance of applying knowledge and maintaining integrity in the learning process. Dr. Neena Panandikar welcomed the gathering and commended the faculty coordinators for their dedicated teamwork and collaborative efforts. Mr. Preston delivered a brief overview of the festival, outlining its objectives and significance. Mr. Mazen proposed the vote of thanks. The event was compered by Mr. Reeve Fernandes and Ms. Esther Mascarenhas.
TekFest 2.0 featured a diverse range of technical competitions such as robo racer, robo Sumo, coding, circuit design and CAD modelling. Students from various colleges and schools such as PCCE, GEC , Mahila & Nutan etc. participated in the event.
